The record rain in 2023, revived and revigorated the slumbering, dry soil...bringing out aromas and flavors aplenty. As well…the cooler summer allowed for longer hang time of the fruit...creating impressively complex juice. Spending 6 months in 100% neutral French oak barrels adds a little more structure, than other California Vermentinos. The multi-layered aromatics start off with pleasant jasmine, followed by apricot and fresh Thai basil. On the palate its soft acidity is followed by flavors of casaba melon, dragon fruit and slight tartness of yuzu citrus. This beautiful wine is refreshingly satisfying...and the perfect addition to any gathering!
